Size guide

Body measurements, how to measure and help choosing a size.

KALINDI FIT STUDIO

One tape. Every size, sorted.

Measure your bust, waist and hip once. Every Kalindi size chart then shows your size.

Your numbers stay on this device.

STEP BY STEP

Measure in two minutes.

You need a soft tape, a mirror and two minutes. A friend makes it easier. Wear light clothes, or the bra you'll wear with the outfit.

How-to guidance for any tape measure.

  1. Bust

Around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level.

Tip Keep the tape level all the way round your back, with room for two fingers under it.

Your bra size is not your bust measurement.

  2. Waist

Around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso.

Tip Not sure where it is? Bend to one side. Where your body creases is your natural waist.

Don't pull your stomach in or hold your breath.

  3. Hip

Around the fullest part of your hips, with your feet together.

Tip Stand with your feet together and check in the mirror that the tape is level at the back.

Not over jeans or a thick kurta.

GOOD TO KNOW

Our charts measure you.

Every chart here lists body measurements, not the garment's. Measure yourself, not a kurti from your wardrobe.

Each style adds its own room to move, called ease. How much depends on its fit, and each style's page tells you.

Your bodyEaseGarment
Seen from above, at the bust: your body dotted, the garment solid. The shaded ring is the ease.
SAREES

Free size. The fit is in the blouse.

A saree drapes to fit any body. What needs your size is the blouse and the petticoat.

Each saree's page shows the chart its blouse is stitched to.

UNSTITCHED SUITS

Your fabric, stitched to your size.

On an unstitched suit's page, choose "Stitch it for me" and your size. Our tailors stitch the kurta, pant and dupatta to that size. Each suit's page shows the chart it is stitched to.

  1. Kurta
  2. Pant
  3. Dupatta

Our usual stitching price: ₹899. Each style's page shows its own.
