Who we are
This website is run by Kalindi, Dhananjay House, Plot No 85, Ground Floor, NH 48, Chhatrala Ind Park, Behind MacDonald, Haripura, Surat, Gujarat - 394325 ("Kalindi", "we", "us"). This policy follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone number, email and delivery address.
- Order details: what you bought, how you paid and your delivery preferences.
- Messages you send us, including photos for returns, and photos you add to a review, which show on the style page once we approve them.
- Basic device and usage data, such as pages visited, to keep the site working well.
- The styles you save with the heart: on your account when you are signed in, else with a random number your browser keeps, so they are there when you come back. We count saves per style to see what people like.
- Referrals: which account invited which, the order it was for, and a random number your browser keeps, so people cannot refer themselves.
- Emails with news and offers, only if you signed up for them: a tiny image in each one tells us it was opened, and its links tell us what was clicked, so we can see what readers like. We stop keeping opens and clicks after about a year. Every such email has an unsubscribe link that works in one tap and is honoured for good.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders, returns and exchanges.
- To send order updates by SMS, WhatsApp and email.
- To send newsletters, only if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations.
Payments
Payments are processed by our payment partners over secure connections. We do not see or store your full card details or UPI PIN.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with courier partners, payment gateways and service providers who help us run the store. They may use it only to provide their service to us. We never sell or rent your personal data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to remember your bag and preferences, and basic analytics to understand how the site is used.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent for marketing, or nominate someone to act for you. Write to our grievance officer at sejal@thekalindi.com.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and other data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected.
